Biography

Yashwant Singh Rawal, Chief Editor: International Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Reviews. Dr. Rawal is a Professor at Amity University Rajasthan, with over 18 years of experience in both industry and academia. He is an expert in the fields of Hospitality, Tourism, and Management, and has published more than 80 research papers and 4 books in top indexing platforms like Scopus, Web of Science, and ABDC. His doctoral research work was in the area of Staff Turnover Intention in the Hotel Industry, and he has presented more than 35 papers at international and national conferences. He has also graced several national and international conferences as a Keynote Speaker and Session Chair. He was awarded the Best Role Model Teacher at the national level in 2019, and the High Work Engagement Award four times at the university level in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. He was also awarded the Best Paper Presentation Award at an international conference and received the Research Excellence Award 2021 by the Institute of Scholars. As a reviewer of a few reputed Scopus and SCI-indexed journals, he has contributed to the academic community by sharing his knowledge and expertise. He has mentored five Ph.D. scholars who have been awarded their Ph.D.

Debasish Batabyal is the Associate Professor in Travel and Tourism Management at the Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University, Kolkata, West Bengal, with over 18 years of experience in both industry and academia. He is an expert in the fields of cultural and religious tourism, destination development and marketing, and has published more than 60 research papers and 6 books in top indexing platforms like Scopus, Web of Science, and ABDC. He was awarded ILO's South-South Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) scholarship to participate in the 11th Social and Solidarity Economy Academy in Madrid, Spain in 2019. Recently, one of his research papers was nominated in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’s International Research Awards 2024 and was awarded Gold in the Economics category. His doctoral research work was in the area of destination development and strategy formulation. Besides, he is a regular speaker at various conferences, workshops, and invited lecture series in India and abroad for more than a decade.
