Biography
Ummer Iqbal is currently serving as a Scientist ‘D’ at the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology J & K, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology , Government of India . He earned his B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College (VTU, Karnataka) in 2007 and completed his M.Tech and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Srinagar in 2015 and 2022, respectively. He joined National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) as a Scientist ‘B’ in March 2010 and has over 15 years of experience in teaching and research. His research interests include Internet of Things security, drone security, and cybersecurity, and he has authored many publications in reputed international journals and conferences. He has also served as Chief Investigator and Co-Chief Investigator for several R&D and capacity-building projects.
Kalpana Gupta is presently working as Associate Director (Scientist 'F') at Centre for Development of Advanced Computing. She holds an M.Tech and PhD from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. She has around 23 years of research and teaching experience. Her job profile includes managing government-funded research projects and teaching at postgraduate level. Her area of interest includes artificial intelligence and algorithms.
Kriti Saroha is presently working as Joint Director (Scientist 'E') at Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Noida. She has received her PhD from GGSIPU, Delhi and MS from BITS, Pilani. She has around 24 years of teaching and research experience. Her research interest includes data warehousing and data mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer architecture. She has published a book on computer organization and several research papers in national/international conferences and journals.
Rahul Johari is an Associate Professor at the University School Of Automation and Robotics, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, East Delhi Campus, Delhi, India. He has completed his postdoctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Deo Prakash Vidyarthi from School of Computer and System Sciences (SC&SS), JNU and his PhD under supervision of Prof. Neelima Gupta and Dr. Sandhya Aneja in the Department of Computer Science, University of Delhi. Presently he is PhD Program Coordinator and B.Tech (Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT) Program Coordinator in USAR and is Associate Director of Students' Welfare of East Delhi Campus, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. He is the Head and Founder of SWINGER (Security, Wireless, IoT Network Group of Engineering and Research). He is Microsoft/Google-Certified Professional and an ODEM-certified BlockChain Faculty. He is the recipient of the 'Outstanding Researcher Award' for the academic year 2023-2024, Best Teacher/Researcher Award for the academic years 2013-2014 & 2014-2015, and Vice Chancellor's Certificate of Appreciation in 2020-2021 and 2022-2023 at GGSIP University. His academic and research profile has been accredited as the Best Profile of the GGSIP University by IRINS (Indian Research Information Network System), a web-based Research Information Management (RIM) service developed by INFLIBNET Centre under National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT) under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. He has been selected as ACM Eminent Speaker (ESP) by ACM India Council in 2021. He was conferred with the 'Best Faculty Award' by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and SEMS, Inc in April 2022. With 128 SCOPUS-indexed publications (including 25+ book chapters) in leading publishers and ACM-indexed international conferences and journals of repute, his current H-index is 18.
Kiran Walia is currently a Project Engineer at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing. She has completed her M.Tech from the Electronic Science Department at Kurukshetra University. With approximately 14 years of teaching experience. She has a keen interest in VLSI design and fabrication, microelectromechanical systems, and the Internet of Things. Her job profile includes teaching at the postgraduate level and actively participating in research projects.
