Biography

Maulin P. Shah has more than 260 research publication in highly reputed national and international journals. He has edited 70 books in waste-water microbiology, Industrial waste-water treatment with Elsevier, Springer, and CRC Press. His work has been focused to assess the impact of industrial pollution on microbial diversity of wastewater following cultivation dependent and cultivation independent analysis. His major work involves isolation, screening, identification, and Genetic Engineering of high impact of Microbes for the degradation of hazardous materials.

"A wide variety of microbial community assay techniques and related analytical methods are discussed, such as PCR (polymerase chain reaction), DGGE (denaturant gradient gel electrophoresis), FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization), and various other omics techniques. Chapter texts are supported by many high-quality color figures and tables summarizing the cited references. Overall, the volume offers lots of useful information for specialists seeking brief introductory descriptions or example applications of a wide variety of techniques used in wastewater treatment."
