Biography
Levis Chiri Kamau is a 4th-year Telecommunication and Information Engineering student at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology and the Managing Editor of the seasonal school eBook. He also serves as the Treasurer of the IEEE Dedan Kimathi University of Technology Student Branch. Levis specializes in the Internet of Things (IoT) and embedded systems, focusing on innovative projects that advance technology in these fields. Beyond academics and engineering, he enjoys playing lawn tennis.
Kevin Maina is an Aeronautical Engineering student at the Technical University of Kenya and one of the editors for the eBook. With a strong passion for computer technology, he is proficient in 3D design and has advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, applying these tools to both academic and personal projects. Outside of his technical pursuits, Kevin enjoys immersing himself in fiction books and exploring the latest series on Netflix.
Beth Gichanga is a 4th-year Telecommunication and Information Engineering student at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology and one of the editors of the university’s eBook. She is also the Chairperson of the IEEE Women in Engineering Dedan Kimathi University of Technology Student Chapter. Skilled in IoT, machine learning, and graphic design, Beth is passionate about mentoring young women into STEM fields and is a car enthusiast.
Mike Muthomi Gikundi is 3rd-year student at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He is skilled in Arduino programming, Python, Matlab, C programming, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Mike also has experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and computer vision, complemented by a talent for article writing. His personal interests in circuit design and coding align with his passion for innovation and solving technical challenges.
Lewis Murimi Murithi is an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, Kenya. As an embedded systems engineer, he is proficient in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and graphic design. Outside his technical expertise, Lewis is also a fashion stylist with a passion for outdoor activities. He enjoys reading books in his leisure time.
