Women of STEM: Innovation and Leadership Series

About the Series

The aim of this new series is to become a leading and premiere resource to published STEM, Innovation and Leadership books that address current and emerging topics by female authors. The focus is on timely STEM topics and innovations associated with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Engineering's Grand Challenges make this a series with STEM expertise and "heart". This is because the problems identified in these two broad categories are about using STEM knowledge to positively impact the global society. Thus, books focused in these areas have the potential to teach relevant, timely and needed solutions to national and global problems. The presence of a female focused series has the potential to reduce the intimidation that many female authors experience at the idea of publishing a book. The fact that the series is "female focused" is essentially an "invitation" for women to publish their books and a validation that there is an interest and need to disseminate their achievements in the form of a book.

The focus on STEM will allow for a broad array of book titles under this series. The emphasis on Engineering's Grand Challenges and the UN SDG's will allow women working in virtually any STEM discipline to understand how their research/technical projects/STEM knowledge can be applied to these key areas of global importance.

If you are interested in writing or editing a book for the series or would like more information, please contact Cindy Carelli, [email protected].
