Dianna is a Professor of Psychology and Professor of Music at The University of Sydney, Australia. She is also a practicing psychologist, psychotherapist, nationally accredited mediator, family dispute resolution practitioner, and marriage and family therapist. My cognate discipline is developmental psychology and developmental psychopathology. All of my seemingly diverse research interests and writing are informed by these disciplines, from understanding and rehabilitating young offenders to helping musicians manage their music performance anxiety to writing about and critiquing psychoanalysis.

I am a union activist with the National Tertiary Education Union (Australia), and have been a member of Amnesty International for over 30 years, doing what I can to support justice for all.
