Dianna T. Theadora Kenny

Biography

Dianna is a Professor of Psychology and Professor of Music at The University of Sydney, Australia. She is also a practicing psychologist, psychotherapist, nationally accredited mediator, family dispute resolution practitioner, and marriage and family therapist. She is the author of six books, 38 book chapters, 175 journal articles.

Areas of Research / Professional Expertise

My cognate discipline is developmental psychology and developmental psychopathology. All of my seemingly diverse research interests and writing are informed by these disciplines, from understanding and rehabilitating young offenders to helping musicians manage their music performance anxiety to writing about and critiquing psychoanalysis.

Personal Interests

I love my garden, movies, and cooking, and trying to keep up with my peripatetic children.
I am a union activist with the National Tertiary Education Union (Australia), and have been a member of Amnesty International for over 30 years, doing what I can to support justice for all.
