Ellen Horovitz

Creative Arts Therapy Practice, PLLC

I am Professor Emerita and former director and founder of the graduate Art Therapy program at Nazareth College (which I founded in 1992). As well, I have over 35 years experience with myriad patient populations ( aged 3-96) and am a licensed art therapist, psychotherapist, registered yoga teacher, and certified yoga therapist (iayt.org). I have authored over 8 books, and am currently in private practice. (See https://www.yogartherapy.com and https://doctorh.icouch.me)

I am a NYS licensed and registered art therapist, a certified yoga therapist (through iayt.org), yoga teacher, and author of 8 books. Because of my background (Professor Emerita and past director / founder of the graduate art therapy program at Nazareth College.), we can use free Apps- such as Paper53- available on the Internet); I can incorporate art therapy, real time (and in between sessions), as well as mindfulness meditation and yoga therapy / breathing exercises.

As an expressive art and yoga therapist, I can offer both somatic-oriented work and expressive outlets other than traditional psychotherapy approaches.
