Luiz C. C. Barbosa

Luiz C. Barbosa is a full Professor of Sociology at San Francisco State University. He is also affiliated with the Environmental Studies program at the same institution. His research focus is the intersections of development and environment, specifically in relation to the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. His most recent research interest is NGOs and the use of commodity chains as instruments of preservation. He has published a series of journal articles and two books on Brazilian Amazonia.
