Bridgette Mongeon is a master sculptor with over 20 years of experience in figurative sculpture. She writes and often lectures about the arts, technology and marketing in the arts and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in combining 3D Technology and Fine Arts from Goddard College. She enjoys sharing and inspiring through various publications and is also the host of the Art and Technology podcasts.

Biography

Bridgette is a sculptor, author and public speaker. She specializes in figurative sculpture using both traditional methods and digital technology. She received an MFAIA from Goddard College specializing in this unique combination. Her work is collected world wide, and she enjoys finding new and interesting ways to incorporate technology in the creative process as well as share the work of others who are doing the same. She has enjoyed watching the areas of art and tech come together through different speaking venues such as 3D Printing World Expo, National Sculpture Foundation, and even at universities where she speaks to engineers, artists, architect in the same room.

Her passion for developing community, sharing information and resources is what sparks her in her writing and speaking. She is the host of the Art and Technology Podcasts and has been featured by all3dp as the 19th woman in 30 of the most influential women 3D printing.

Speaker for the Texas Art Educators Conference 2017 - STEAM and Alice in Wonderl

Bridgette Mongeon is delighted to have been chosen to be the keynote speaker at the Texas Art Education Conference scheduled for November in Galveston Texas.  She will be talking about STEAM, the interdisciplinary education that incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math and that she writes about in her book "3D Technology in Fine Art and Craft, Exploring 3D Printing, Scanning, Sculpting and Milling." 

Bridgette has incoporated the practices she wrote about in her book in a new project of Alice In Wonderland's Mad Hatter tea party that is titled "Move One Place On." The sculpture will be placed in a public park in Texas, and you could say that in Bridgette's studio Alice and her friends did not get big and small with mushrooms and elixers, but did so with digital technology.

Sculptor Bridgette Mongeon is creating a monumental bronze sculpture of the Mad Hatter Tea Party. In honor of the 150th Anniversary of “Alice In Wonderland” she is hiding 150 elements in the sculpture. Bridgette uses both traditional sculpting and digital processes. She will be using the same processes she used in creating a 15’ bronze tiger that she documented in her new book “3D Technology In Fine Art and Craft: Exploring 3D Printing, Scanning, Sculpting and Milling.”
