Jane Marie Todd is a free-lance translator from the French. She has translated some seventy-five books for university and trade presses and art museums. Jane Marie Todd holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Oregon and is currently writing a book on Marcel Proust. She was awarded the 2010 French-American Foundation and Florence Gould Foundation Translation Prize for Nonfiction. The displayed photograph was taken at the awards ceremony in New York in May 2011.
