Biography

Mark is a teaching and supervising transactional analyst, a UKCP registered psychotherapist and holds the European Certificate of Psychotherapy. He has 20 years of experience of working as a psychotherapist. He is a lecturer in psychotherapy and counselling at the University of Salford, and lives in Central Manchester, where he has a small psychotherapy practice, for individuals and couples, primarily in time-limited work.

Mark is an active psychotherapy researcher and in 2014 was awarded the European Association for Transactional Analysis Silver Medal for his research on the effectiveness of Transactional Analysis (TA). The majority of his research has focused on the treatment of depression.

Mark is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and is an international expert for the Training Accreditation Committee of the European Association for Psychotherapy.

He is Director of Research for The Berne Institute, UK, and is a visiting lecturer at a number of training institutes throughout Europe.
