Biography
Douglas Guiffrida is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Development and Director of Accreditation and Program Implementation at the University of Rochester, Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development. He is an Approved Clinical Supervisor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State. He has nearly 20 years of clinical supervision experience and has taught a doctoral-level class in clinical supervision since 2000. The author of over 30 articles and book chapters in leading counseling and higher education publications, Guiffrida has served as associate editor for best practices for the Journal of Counseling Development, senior associate editor for the Journal of College Counseling, and as a reviewer and editorial board member for several other scholarly publications. He is the recipient of the 2015 Publication in Counselor Education and Supervision Award from the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision and the American Counseling Association's Ralph F. Berdie Research Award, which recognizes innovative college student affairs research.Education
