Marguérite Corporaal is Associate Professor in English Literature at Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She was the principal investigator and coordinator of the research project Relocated Remembrance: The Great Famine in Irish (Diaspora) Fiction, 1847-1921, for which she obtained a Starting Grant from the European Research Council (2010-2015). Furthermore, she is the director of the International Network of Irish Famine Studies that is funded by NWO (2014-2017).

Biography

Marguérite Corporaal is Associate Professor in English Literature at Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She was the principal investigator and coordinator of the research project Relocated Remembrance: The Great Famine in Irish (Diaspora) Fiction, 1847-1921, for which she obtained a Starting Grant from the European Research Council (2010-2015). Furthermore, she is the director of the International Network of Irish Famine Studies that is funded by NWO (2014-2017). Among her recent and forthcoming international publications are: Relocated Memories of the Great Famine in Irish and Diaspora Fiction, 1847-1870 (forthcoming eith Syracuse University Press, 2017); Travelling Irishness in the Long Nineteenth Century (co-edited, forthcoming Palgrave, 2017); Irish Studies and the Dynamics of Memory (co-edited, firthcoming, Peter Lang 2016); Recollecting Hunger: An Anthology. Cultural Memories of the Great Famine in Irish Fiction, 1847-1920 (co-authored, Irish Academic Press, 2012),  Global Legacies of the Great Irish Famine: Transnational and Interdisciplinary Perspectives (co-edited, Peter Lang, 2014),
