Lynne P. Doti, the David and Sandra Stone Professor of Economics at Chapman University, taught there since 1971. Lynne is the author or coauthor of four books, including Banking in the American West and California Bankers. She wrote over twenty-five articles on banking, and a book on how entrepreneurs changed business. She served as the editor of Essays in Economic and Business History, an academic journal, and was twice president of The Economic and Business History Society.

Recent interest in Spanish California mission economies.
