Biography
F. Vera-Gray is a Research Fellow in the School of Law at Durham University, working in the inter-disciplinary area of violence against women and philosophy. Her current work focuses on women’s embodiment, phenomenology and pornography, whilst her earlier phenomenological investigation on what is commonly known as street harassment was published by Routledge in 2016 (‘Men’s Intrusion, Women’s Embodiment: A critical analysis of street harassment’). Her main topics of research interest are in building a phenomenology of violence against women and girls; the philosophy of Simone de Beauvoir; embodiment and corporeality; everyday life sociology; narrative, poetic and creative methodologies.
