I am the Co-founder and Director of the International Centre for Victorian Women Writers at Canterbury Christ Church University. My publications include poetry and biography as well as literary criticism.

    Victorian literature including Dickens, Jerome K. Jerome and the New Humour, Mary Cholmondeley the New Woman. My current research is on seaside reading from the 1840s to the 1930s.
