How do we realize a world that relies entirely on sustainable energy? And how do we bring down the emissions of greenhouse gases rapidly enough? These are the questions that have been central in my professional life. Energy efficiency has my special interest. I was trained as a physicist and now professor of Energy Systems Analysis at Delft University of Technology. Next to that, I am Director of Science at Ecofys, the company I founded in 1984.
