Lukas Parker
Dr Lukas Parker is a lecturer in the School of Media and Communication. He lectures in advertising to postgraduate and undergraduate students, and supervises postgraduate research students. His research interests are in social marketing and marketing communication. Lukas has published widely in the fields of social marketing and marketing communication. His research focus is currently on social marketing in the context of alcohol consumption cultures, road safety and also family decision making.
Biography
Dr Lukas Parker is a lecturer in the School of Media and Communication. He lectures in advertising to postgraduate and undergraduate students, and supervises postgraduate research students. His research interests are in social marketing and marketing communication.Prior to joining RMIT University in Melbourne in 2016, Lukas Parker worked at RMIT University Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City for nine years. He was also an Endeavour Research Fellow (2016) undertaking road safety research with the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation in Vietnam and Cambodia.
He has over a decade of teaching experience at universities in Australia, South Korea and Vietnam. He worked as an Information, Education and Communications advisor for a rural water supply and sanitation project in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam.
