Samantha McMahon currently has responsibility for the student experience across a suite of undergraduate courses with particular responsibility for retention and attainment in the School of Education. Previously she was responsible for designing and implementing a range of Early Years courses and is particularly interested in supporting students to become graduate leaders of practice. Prior to joining the university Samantha has taught in pre-school, primary school and further education.

Samantha recently completed her Doctoral studies the title of her thesis was Early Years Professional Status: A narrative study of leadership and contradictory professionalism.

Personal Interests

    I love spending time with my family and walking my dog Molly. I enjoy reading particularly crime fiction and watching Scandi Noir and anything featuring a dragon or zombies, so GOT and Walking Dead.
