Jason Kotch, @JMKotchEdD, is the principal of Garnet Valley Elementary School in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, and the co-author of 7 Steps to Sharing Your School's Story on Social Media, @7StepStories. Jason is a 3rd generation school leader and a first-time author.Jason was recognized as a Pennsylvania Keystone Technology Integrator early in his career and has always had an interest in technology. His doctoral dissertation researched the use of interactive whiteboards in the classroom and emphasized the importance of professional learning. Jason's use of technology has expanded to using social media to share his school's story in multiple ways.
At Garnet Valley Elementary, Jason has been able to fulfill his vision of being a collaborative, innovative, and passionate leader through his use of social media in becoming a connected educator and in sharing the impressive accomplishments of the staff and students each day.
