Biography
David Kilpatrick is Associate Professor at Mercy College and Club Historian of the New York Cosmos. He is the author of Writing with Blood: The Sacrificial Dramatist as Tragic Man (EyeCorner, 2011) and Obrigado: A Futebol Epic (Beadle, 2015), and editor of The State of the Field: Ideologies, Identities and Initiatives (Routledge, 2018). He has coached soccer at the youth, scholastic, college and adult levels and oversees coaching education in the northeastern United States as the Section 3 Coach Trainer of the American Youth Soccer Organization. The founding former President of Rivertowns United FC and former President of Arsenal America, he remains active with both organizations, as well as the Society for American Soccer History and Football Scholars Forum.Education
