Biography

Writer, speaker, entrepreneur Wendy Lewis founded Wendy Lewis & Co Ltd Global Aesthetics Consultancy in 1997, a marketing communications and social media boutique in New York City. As President, she manages a team of specialists in digital marketing, media relations, and content creation who are experienced with medical devices, pharmaceuticals, skincare, physicians and medical spas. An award-winning writer, she was the recipient of the Johnson & Johnson Award for Best Beauty Trade Journalist and author of 12 books including America’s Cosmetic Doctors & Dentists (Castle Connolly Medical) and Plastic Makes Perfect (Orion). In 2008, she became Founder/Editor in Chief of Beautyinthebag.com. She is the only non-MD on the Editorial Board of Prime International Anti-Ageing Journal, and a contributor to Healthnewsdigest.com, Modern Aesthetics, Aesthetic Society News, Practical Dermatology, Body Language, Medesthetics, Aesthetic Medical Practitioner, and many other publications and websites. She has contributed to three medical textbooks. She was also selected as the #1 most influential non-MD on Twitter in plastic surgery and the #6 most influential in plastic surgery in an article published in Aesthetic Surgery Journal, and is frequently quoted in the media.
