Laura Olcelli
Laura Olcelli has earned a Master of Philosophy and a Doctor of Philosophy in English from the University of Sydney. She is the author of Questions of Authority: Italian and Australian Travel Narratives of the Long Nineteenth Century (Routledge 2018), winner of the 2018 ESSE Book Award for Junior Scholars – Literatures in the English Language category. She has also published a number of book chapters and journal articles revolving around travel literature.

Biography
Laura Olcelli is a graduate of the University of Pavia, Italy, and of the University of Sydney, Australia, where she has obtained a Bachelor and Master of Arts, a Master of Philosophy (Research) and a Doctor of Philosophy in English. Her research interests span exploration literature, women’s travel narratives, and travel writing – from the Grand Tour to the early twentieth century, with a focus on journeys to / from Australia and Italy. She has published books, books chapters and journal articles in all of these fields.Education
