
Kimberly Poppiti
Kimberly Poppiti is a college professor and a writer. She is a two-time winner of the USITT's Herbert D. Greggs Award (2018 and 2013) for her writing about theatre design and technology. She is also the author of "A History of Equestrian Drama in the United States: Hippodrama's Pure Air & Fire," the first full-length study of equestrian drama in the United States. She is currently continuing her research and working on her next book.

Biography
Kimberly Poppiti has been studying and writing about horses and theatre for many years - and has loved both for as long as she can remember. She is the former chair of the Department of Communication and Performing Arts at Dowling College, which has since closed; but, Kimberly still works as a professor, teaching at both Stony Brook University and St. Joseph’s College. She also continues her research into equestrian drama and the ongoing connections between horses and theatre.Education
