John Lemos
My philosophical interests are in ethics, free will, philosophy of religion, and the philosophical implications of evolutionary biology. I have published three books: Commonsense Darwinism: Evolution, Morality, and the Human Condition (Open Court, 2008); Freedom, Responsibility, and Determinism: A Philosophical Dialogue (Hackett, 2013); and A Pragmatic Approach to Libertarian Free Will (Routledge, 2018). I have also published over 30 articles in a variety of journals.

Biography
I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from Duke University and I have been teaching at Coe College for about 25 years. My philosophical interests are in ethics, free will, philosophy of religion, and the philosophical implications of evolutionary biology. I have published three books: Commonsense Darwinism: Evolution, Morality, and the Human Condition (Open Court, 2008); Freedom, Responsibility and Determinism: A Philosophical Dialogue (Hackett, 2013); and A Pragmatic Approach to Libertarian Free Will (Routledge, 2018). I have also published over 30 articles in a variety of academic journals, such as Metaphilosophy, The Southern Journal of Philosophy, Dialectica, Philosophia, and the The Philosophy of the Social Sciences.
