Biography
I am Professor of Philosophy in the Honors College at Azusa Pacific University,My research focuses on issues in early modern philosophy, ethics, and philosophy of religion.
In addition to being the co-editor of Hume's Moral Philosophy and Contemporary Psychology, I am the author of Reforming the Art of Living: Nature, Virtue, and Religion in Descartes’s Epistemology, the co-editor of The Ethics of Belief: Individual and Social, and the editor of Turning East: Contemporary Philosophers and the Ancient Christian Faith.
My current research focuses on compassion, community, and culture in Hume and in classical Confucianism.
