Biography
Dr. Mark Hughes is a former Reader in Organizational Change. Mark taught organizational change to postgraduate and MBA students for many years. The main focus of his work was the facilitation of change related management/leadership development inside private/public service organizations. Mark’s monograph The Leadership of Organizational Change published by Routledge in 2016 reviewed studies of leading change and transformation over the previous 35 years. The new textbook Managing and Leading Organizational Change draws on the earlier review in encouraging a questioning approach to organizational change. Instead of thinking of either leading or managing change, these processes are believed to be complimentary. Mark has successfully supervised two doctoral students and he is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Change Management and regularly reviews for academic journals.Areas of Research / Professional Expertise
