Emeritus professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, Northwestern University, emeritus training and supervising psychoanalyst, Center for Psychoanalytic Study in Chicago, Psychoanalytic Fellow of the American Academy of Psychoanalysis, Corresponding Member, German Psychoanalytic Society (DPG), Distinuished Life Fellow, American Psychiatric Association and member of the American Philosophic Society (My Ph.D. is in philosophy), I am an octogenerian reviewing my development in these fields.

Biography

I developed intellectually from the Hutchins Plan College at the University of Chicago to Medical School there, research in histochemistry, board certification in neurology and psychiatry, psychoanalysis, and a PhD in philosophy. Now almost 88 years old I have been married 65 years, have 3 professional daughters and 7 grandchildren. Still in private practice of psychoanalysis in Evanston, IL and have been private practice for about 60 years.

Areas of Research / Professional Expertise

    histochemistry, addiction research, psychodynamic psychiatry especially with borderline patients,psychoanalysis, philosophy.

Personal Interests

    chess, viola, piano, stamp collecting, classical Greek, mathematics, western history,English poetry and literature,Paris and above all my 7 grandchildren.
