Prof Carolyn Mair PhD is a Chartered Psychologist working in the fashion industry. As Full Professor of Psychology for Fashion at University of the Arts London (2012-17) she established the Psychology Department & created the first degree to apply Psychology in the context of fashion. Biography
Professor Carolyn Mair PhD is a Behavioural Psychologist currently working with HandM Group. Prior to establishing her consultancy, Carolyn Mair Consulting Limited in 2017, she was Full Professor of Psychology for Fashion at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, where she created the Psychology Department and developed the world’s first degree programmes to apply psychology in the context of fashion. She is a Chartered Fellow of the British Psychological Society and holder of their Distinguished Contributions to Psychology Education award. Her book, The Psychology of Fashion was published by Routledge in 2018. Carolyn holds a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, MSc Research Methods and BSc (Hons) Applied Psychology and Computing.
