Dr. Anne L. Drabczyk

Anne L. Drabczyk serves as Faculty/Program Director of the Healthcare Management Department at Indian River State College. She developed the curriculum to foster a competency-based and job-relevant experience for students. Given the current urgency to prepare a career-ready workforce to be accountable to meet the challenging dynamics of healthcare reform, she wrote her most recent book “Healthcare Workforce Transitioning: Competency Conversations through World Café” (2019).

Biography

Anne L. Drabczyk Ph.D. is Chair of the Healthcare Management Program at Indian River State College on Florida’s Treasure Coast. In former positions, Dr. Drabczyk was the national program director for the Advanced Practice Center for Public Health Preparedness at the National Association of County and City Health Officials in Washington D.C. She was principal investigator for The Ohio State University College of Public Health, Center for Public Health Practice, where she liaised with the state of Ohio Department of Health to develop and execute strategic preparedness initiatives. Dr. Drabczyk has been a consultant for several clients in the public health enterprise, and interim CEO, directing reorganization of a national healthcare association.  Anne completed her undergraduate degree in Community Health Education and Psychology, and a Master of Health Administration from Central Michigan University, and earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Public Health from Walden University. She holds certification in Appreciative Inquiry from the Weatherhead School of Business at Case Western University. Anne is a Fulbright Specialist and engaged in international education, research, and project management initiatives.
