Roy Choudhury is presently working as a principal, KPS Institute of Polytechnic, Hooghly (W.B.) India. He retired from the post of Professor and HOD (Textile), Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampore (W.B.), India. He has over 35 years’ experience in textile coloration and finishing in academia and industry, He is a fellow and Silver Medalist of the Society of Dyers and Colourists, UK. He is also a member of the editorial board of the Textile Institute book series.

Biography

Dr. Asim Kumar Roy Choudhury is presently working as principal, KPS Institute of Polytechnic, Belmuri. He retired as Professor and HOD (Textile) from the Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampore (W.B.), India. He has over 35 years’ experience in textile coloration and finishing in academia and industry, and has written numerous papers and several authored and multi-authored books on the subject published by reputed publishers like Woodhead, Elsevier, CRC Press, Taylor and Francis,Springer, Apple etc. , including the two-volume work Principles of Colour and Appearance Measurement and Principles of Textile Finishing (Elsevier), Textile Preparation and Dyeing (Science Publishers, USA and SDC, India). Future projects: Flame retardants for textile materials and Principles of Textile Printing (CRC Press).
