I am a lean practitioner with more than 30 years experience in global and domestic manufacturing and business processes. After many successful and some not-so-successful lean implementations around the globe I have transitioned to the healthcare industry where I share my extensive lean knowledge and experience with hospitals, physician practices, and ancillary services.

Tim Martin and Jeff Bell are co-authors of the book New Horizons in Standardized Work: Techniques for Manufacturing and Business Process Improvement.  Tim has more than 30 years manufacturing engineering experience in the electrical and electronics industries where he designed entire manufacturing systems as well as lean equipment.  In 2010 he transitioned from manufacturing to healthcare where he now focuses on integrating the Toyota Production System philosophies into the delivery of lean healthcare.  He holds a BSEET from Purdue University, a MSM from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Lean Bronze Certification from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
