Biography

I have achieved both my Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (Portuguese and Spanish) and my Master's degree in Postcolonial Literatures and Cultures at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice (2010; 2013). For my Bachelor's dissertation I worked on Jerónimo Pizarro's edition of Pessoa's "Livro do Desasocego", while my Master's dissertation focused on the relationship between the Portuguese editorial market and contemporary Angolan authors. I am currently finalising a PhD in Portuguese Studies at the New University of Lisbon and I am working as a research assistant at CHAM, Center fo the Humanities. In the past years, then, I have been conducting research on female rappers from Portugal and Brazil and on the cultural and social constructs that they challenge.

Areas of Research / Professional Expertise

My interests as a researcher cover a wide range of topics, from countercultural practices, youth subcultures and non-canonical arts, to Portuguese and Brazilian literature, music, poetry, history, societies and cultures.
