Biography
Dr. Selim Giray performed extensively in four continents and appeared frequently on radio and television. Previously, Giray served as Concertmaster and Assistant Conductor at the Ohio Light Opera. He is featured on numerous CDs and can be heard on Naxos Online Library. Giray presented numerous times at ASTA National Conference, The Midwest Clinic, and performed two recitals at Carnegie Hall. Giray studied the violin with Eliot Chapo, former Concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, Fritz Gearhart, Professor of Violin at University of Oregon, and conducting with Dr. William Intriligator, Director of Dubuque and Cheyenne Symphony Orchestras.Education

His edition of Adnan Saygun's Violin Concerto Op. 44 can be obtained from PeermusicClassical. His violin transcription of Friedrich Gulda's Concerto for Violoncello and Wind Orchestra is available for hire through Josef Weinberger, Vienna.
