Biography

Shaun D. Pattinson is Professor of Medical Law and Ethics at Durham University, UK. In addition to his two books with Routledge, he is the author of Medical Law and Ethics (5th edn, 2017) and co-edited of Ethical Rationalism and the Law (2017).

Shaun is the Deputy Chair of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics (which is the UK’s leading bioethics committee) and will be a Leverhulme Major Research Fellow for 24 months from October 2020. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology (FRSB) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
