Roberto Alvarez del Blanco
BiographyConsidered as one of the most relevant international authorities in marketing strategy and branding, Professor Álvarez del Blanco has been teaching at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. He has been Visiting Professor at Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley and recently at the Stern School of Business of New York University and Rockefeller University in New York.
Has been recognized in twelve occasions for academic excellence and has been granted three international recognitions for his contribution to research and dissemination of the scientific discipline of marketing strategy. Professor Álvarez del Blanco has published over one hundred and fifty specialized articles and thirteen books on brand leadership and marketing strategy that have been translated into different languages.
His academic background includes an Executive Program at Harvard University; Postdoctoral Fellow in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley; Doctorate in Economic Sciences from the University of Barcelona; MBA from ESADE Business School; and Laureate in Administration from the University of Buenos Aires.
Professor Álvarez del Blanco has written opinion columns and has occasionally contributed in several economy and business newspapers such as: Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Expansión, Cinco Días, as well as has appeared in media like CNN, TVE, RNE, Televisa. He has been Executive President of MarketLink* & Partners, strategic consulting firm specialized in marketing and branding; academic and scientific fellow of the World Economic Forum (WEF). Has been founder and executive president of Pórtico de Mar, S. A. and promotion coordinator of the Olympic Office Barcelona 92 for the Summer Olympic Games of the XXV Olympiad. He works as a consultant for brands of large national and international companies and public organizations.
He lives with his family in the Bay Area, San Francisco, California.
