Alissa Mazar

Alissa Mazar (PhD, McGill University) is a sociologist whose interests centre on understanding the socioeconomic impacts of moving from industrial to post-industrial economies and how megaproject leisure developments, like casinos, act as a mechanism to facilitate this transition. Mazar currently works as a Policy Officer at Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada in the Tourism Branch.
