Her background as a creative artist informs both the methods and focus of research, with a keen interest in how mobilities and tourism research intersect with creative, participatory and community-oriented forms of engagement.

Currently she is undertaking a research fellowship exploring how backpacker tourism experiences are conditioned through materiality, everyday routines, and visual aesthetics. Her background as a creative artist informs both the methods and focus of research, with a keen interest in how mobilities and tourism research intersect with creative, participatory and community-oriented forms of engagement. Research interests include: aesthetics of global mobilities, mundane and everyday practices of sustainable tourism, backpacker tourism, place-based encounters, aeromobilities, multi-sensory and collaborative methods.
