Biography

Lorenzo Simoni is a Research fellow in Accounting at the Department of Economics and Business Studies at the University of Genoa. He earned a BSc in Business Administration and a MSc in Accounting from the University of Florence. He obtained a PhD in Business Administration and Management from the University of Pisa. He has also held visiting positions at Aalborg University. He has obtained two grants from the Institue of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) to investigate non-financial reporting practices. The first project concerns the relationship between business model reporting and non-financial KPI reporting. The second project, which has been funded by ICAS and the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), investigates the relationship between business model reporting and risk reporting.
