Dr Ashish Badiye holds a PhD, Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science. He presently serves as the Head and Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Science, Government Institute of Forensic Science, Nagpur. He has over 60 international research and review articles and chapters in journals and books of high repute to his credit. He also serves as a recognized reviewer for more than 25 reputed journals from publishers and has conducted over 164 reviews.

Biography

Dr. Ashish Badiye is a Group-A Maharashtra Education Services Officer of the Department of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, selected by the State Public Service Commission (MPSC). He is presently serving as the Head of the Department and Assistant Professor at the Department of Forensic Science, Government Institute of Forensic Science, Nagpur. He has completed his B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. in Forensic Science from the Amity University, Noida and PhD in Forensic Science from SVVV, Indore. He is UGC-NET-JRF qualified. He has teaching and research experience of more than 11 years.

He has more than 60 international research and review articles and chapters in journals and books of high repute like Nature, The Lancet, Nature Medicine, BMJ Injury Prevention, Journal of Forensic and Legal Medicine, Forensic Science Research, Medicine Science and the Law, Egyptian Journal of Forensic Science, International Journal of Legal Medicine, BMC Reports, etc. to his credit.

He also serves as a recognized reviewer for more than 25 reputed journals from publishers, including PLOS, Elsevier, Springer Nature, Cell Press, SAGE, Routledge, Taylor & Francis, and has conducted over 164 reviews. He is an expert trainer and assists the Maharashtra police in the various aspects of crime scene investigation. He has delivered over 262 Invited talks, guest lectures, workshops, and demonstrations at multiple colleges, institutes, universities, and Police officers across India on various aspects and topics related to Forensic Science.

He has presented over 50 papers and posters at various International and National Conferences, Seminars, etc. and has won 15 Best Paper and Poster Presentation Awards. He was awarded “the Young Scientist Award” by the Indian Science Congress Association Sagar Chapter, State FSL, MP, and BTIE, Sagar, MP. He has been conferred with “Special Recognition” for his contribution in “Scientific Aid to Investigation” to police officers and the "Best Young Faculty Award".
