Anne Connor is a science writer with a background in ecosystems theory and genomics. Her articles on climate resilience and adaptation have been published in several national magazines. She holds a master's degree in Science Writing from Johns Hopkins University. Her bachelor’s degree is from Dartmouth College, where she studied with one of the world's foremost genetic ethicists. She is the co-author of two CRC Press textbooks, one on genomics and one on ecological sustainability.

Biography

Anne N. Connor has worked as a science writer for over 15 years. Her articles have been published in The Scientist, Undark, Vox, Knowable, and other online publications. Her current focus is on climate resilience and other environmental solutions stories.

Her educational background includes a Magna cum Laude bachelor’s degree in anthropology and psychology from Dartmouth College, where she received honor citations in chemistry and sociology. Her master’s degree in communications is from the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque, and she earned a master's degree in science writing from Johns Hopkins University.

She is the co-author of the 2008 textbook, Introduction to Molecular Biology, Genomics, and Proteomics for Biomedical Engineers, Taylor & Francis/CRC Press, and the 2013 textbook, Ecological Sustainability, CRC Press. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi.  

She lives in Jamaica, Vermont.
