BiographySaurabh Mittal, is the founder and president of Dunip Technologies, which he manages in his free time. He earned his MS (2003) and PhD (2007) in both Electrical and Computer Engineering with dual minors in Systems Engineering and Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona, Tucson. He is currently a full-time scientist and architect at National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Department of Energy at Golden, Colorado. He previously worked at L3 Communications as a contractor to US Air Force Research Lab. He has previously worked as Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona. He is a recipient of US DoD's highest civilian contractor 'Golden Eagle' award and has been classified by US Immigration Services as a national of extraordinary ability. He has been awarded Herculean Effort Leadership award by the ECE Department at the University of Arizona and has been nominated as an outstanding graduate research staff/assistant among 8000 Graduate students. He serves on various conference program committees and reviewer of many prestigious international journals. His areas of interest include Web-based M&S using SOA, executable architectures, DEVS Unified Process, SES theory and applications, parallel distributed simulation, complex systems, complex adaptive systems and System of Systems engineering using DoDAF, multiplatform modeling, intelligence-based, complex, adaptive and autonomous systems, and large scale M&S integration and interoperability efforts.
