Biography

George S. Steffen is the Chief Deputy of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Florida. He serves as second in command under the Sheriff and is in charge of the day to day operations of the agency, to include law enforcement, corrections and judicial operations. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has a staff of over 3,000 members. He has been a law enforcement officer in the state of Florida since 1980. He has served with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office since January 1982. Chief Deputy Steffen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Public Administration Degree. He is a graduate of the 223rd Session of the FBI National Academy, Quantico, Virginia and the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute, Executive Leadership Program, Tallahassee, Florida.
