As a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Pharmacology Chair Dr. Lorraine Gudas (Weill Cornell Medical College), he worked on the identification of natural products with potential to induce embryonic stem cell differentiation for potential cancer stem cell therapy. He also studied Clinical Epidemiology in collaboration with Dr. Mary Charlson as a Fellow of the Center for Complementary and Integrative Medicine. As a student and postdoc, he was continuously supported by NIH and Department of Defense fellowship awards for a decade.

In 2011, he joined the Naturals Platform in the Skincare Innovation group of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, where he worked on early discovery of natural ingredients.
