Eileen Prendiville E.C.P., M.I.A.H.I.P., M.I.A.P.T.P., R.N.M.H., is Programme Leader for the MA in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy and Play Therapy. She has trained and worked in the fields of pre-school education, intellectual disability, child psychiatry, play therapy and psychotherapy and has particular expertise in working with issues of child sexual abuse with both child and adult clients. Biography
Eileen Prendiville E.C.P., M.I.A.H.I.P., M.I.A.P.T.P., R.N.M.H., is Programme Leader for the MA in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy and Play Therapy. She has trained and worked in the fields of pre-school education, intellectual disability, child psychiatry, play therapy and psychotherapy and has particular expertise in working with issues of child sexual abuse with both child and adult clients. Eileen holds qualifications in Psychotherapy, Jungian Sandplay Therapy, Biodynamic Psychotherapy and Family Law. She presents regularly at international training events.With Dr Justine Howard, Eileen co-edited Play Therapy Today: Contemporary practice with individuals, groups, and carers published by Routledge in June 2014, and contributed a chapter to this book. She also contributed a chapter on ‘Abreaction’ to the 2nd edition (2014) of ‘The Therapeutic Powers of Play: 20 Core Agents of Change’ and another chapter, ‘Healing Young Children Affected by Sexual Abuse: The Therapeutic Touchstone’ which has been published in Play Therapy with Vulnerable Populations: No Child Forgotten (2015). She is currently involved in writing 2 more chapters and is co-editing, with Dr Justine Howard. another book to be published by Routledge: Creative Psychotherapy: Applying the principles of neurobiology to play and expressive arts-based practice
