I am originally from Wales, but I have lived in various countries including France, Spain, the UAE, and (currently) Japan. I have an MPhil in Applied Linguistics from Trinity College, Dublin and an Ed.D in TEFL from the University of Exeter, UK. I have worked as a language educator since 1993 and I am particularly interested in working with learners outside the language classroom, for example in self-access centers. My academic interests include learner autonomy, psychology, and advising.
