In my research, I study the driving forces, processes, and patterns of changes in human-shaped landscapes. Using inter- and transdisciplinary frameworks, I integrate natural and social science approaches to landscape ecology and conservation, including conservation biology, land-use science, and regional development. Key topics are ecosystem services, cultural landscape, and social-ecological resilience.
