Nathan Andersen
Nathan Andersen studied philosophy at The Pennsylvania State University, and has been teaching philosophy and film at Eckerd College in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He founded and programs their International Cinema series and is the co-director of the "Visions of Nature/Voices of Nature," Environmental Film Festival. He has published several scholarly articles on the history of philosophy, environmental philosophy, and film. Shadow Philosophy: Plato’s Cave and Cinema is his first book.

Biography
Nathan Andersen grew up in California and Utah, and moved to Pennsylvania in order to complete his Ph.D. in philosophy at The Pennsylvania State University. For the last fifteen years, he has been teaching philosophy and film at Eckerd College in Saint Petersburg. He founded and programs their International Cinema series and is the co-director of the "Visions of Nature/Voices of Nature," Environmental Film Festival. He has published several scholarly articles on the history of philosophy, environmental philosophy, and film. Shadow Philosophy: Plato’s Cave and Cinema is his first book.Education
