Gabriyel led global research and development in real-time computer graphics for top engineering companies and consulted for many aspiring game development start-ups for years. Apart from his previous academic background, Gabriyel's field experience spans time-critical systems in military simulators, virtual reality applications and innovative human-computer interfaces for commercial markets.


Gabriyel Wong is an entrepreneur, innovator and author with extensive experience spanning leadership, managerial and consulting roles in technology businesses. He is the Regional Director for Zalora South East Asia, an online fashion start-up incubated by Rocket Internet, one of European’s largest private equity businesses in e-commerce. Gabriyel was the co-founder of XPEGIA, a Singapore-based start-up specialising in interactive media solutions for the advertisement and education markets. Prior to that, he was the R&D Director at EON Reality, a global leader in virtual reality technology based in USA, where he spearheaded the company’s research and development. Before joining EON Reality, Gabriyel was the founding Director of gameLAB, the first research lab in Singapore with focus on computer game design and technology. Gabriyel was a faculty member in Nanyang Technological University and he lectured in both undergraduate and post-graduate courses. He started his career as the Technical Lead at Singapore Technologies, one of Asia’s largest engineering conglomerates, where he led the pioneering work on advanced computer graphics technology for defense applications.

Gabriyel has published and spoken in conferences around the world and received public and commercial funding for patenting his inventions.
