    Biography

Carolyn Andrews is a speech and language therapist and University Teaching Fellow with over 20 years’ clinical experience and education of SLT students. She first got curious about the voice listening to Top of the Pops in the 1980s and is fascinated by the uniqueness of our voices. Carolyn sees a key part of professional practice as translating complicated theory into accessible knowledge for clients and students alike, and loves exploring the craft of the voice with others.

This reads like an informative and enjoyable clinical conversation, providing a comprehensive knowledge base through accessible explanations of the theory behind voice therapy, its practical application, and links to pertinent research literature. Self-development activities enable reflective practice for voice patients and beyond! Clinical tips offer a systematic way to build knowledge or provide a ‘go-to’ resource for a focussed approach. This is set to be a valued clinical companion.
